Challenge
The management team at DuPont needed a mechanical team that was organized and large enough to handle performing daily maintenance on over 500 pieces of HVAC equipment including chillers, pumps, and rooftop units, as well as additional pipefitting and electric building maintenance. They also wanted a partner who had the capacity to handle facility alterations and service project capability.
DuPont needed a solutions provider who offered them full-time professional technicians who remained attentive to details and who would integrate themselves into the operations at each location.
Due to the different types of chemicals as well as the critical processes on the campus, DuPont needed a mechanical partner with a history of managing extremely sensitive environments.
Solution
For the last ten years, DuPont has employed 10-15 full-time ColonialWebb technicians at the Richmond and Hopewell campus through ColonialWebb’s Facilities Maintenance Solutions program. These experienced and highly trained technicians come to DuPont with prior experience in working in demanding environments.
ColonialWebb also worked with DuPont to ensure that all on-site technicians have gone through extensive, specialized training. This ensures that they understand the requirements and processes involved at each plant.
